Turin Brakes

at den Atelier Doors: 7:00 pm

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Fans of Travis or Starsailor might very well ADORE Turin Brakes… Turin Brakes are behind what’s probably the best folk tinged indie rock compositions EVER to have hit this planet. Just get a clearer picture of what to expect while listening to the singles Last Chance and Stalker from the band’s brilliant new album Dark On Fire. Here’s what the chaps write on behalf of their sound on their myspace-site: “We sound a bit like a cowboy from the old west in the streets of 21st century London who is being forced at gun point by his own shadow to confess his hopes and fears into an old tape recorder for uses unknown, with lots of guitars, beats and harmonies ricocheting off the concrete canyons all around…” Turin Brakes, that’s Olly Knights and Gale Paridjanian. Live on stage, they are being joined by Rob Allum, Eddie Myer and L’il Phil Marten. The A loves this band and we thought you might be in for a very nice discovery!
