Supergrass were still in their teens when they started off in 1994, winning praise from all sides of the burgeoning British alternative music scene that came to be known as “Britpop”. The legendary In It For The Money achieved number one status in the album charts and showcased the diversity of the band’s sound… To this day, Alright and Pumping On Your Stereo are still poptastic tunes indeed! Starting from a base of youthful exuberance influenced by a mix of British rock, new wave, and post-punk sounds, Supergrass have matured with each album over the last 13 years – while maintaining their energy and sense of humor. The latest Diamond Hoo Ha is a fuzzy and raucous album, lit up with neon guitars and drums as crowded as a main urban artery, seedy in thrill, immaculately clean in design. It’s an undeniable thrill to hear a band kick out its jams with such heroic wit!
