Elements of Led Zeppelin, The Mars Volta, The White Stripes, Wolfmother and Blind Melon pop up throughout. But Portugal. The Man’s ambitious journeys are succinct and accessible. With an average track length of about 3:30, they hit you quickly with several, hook-filled ideas and move on. Church Mouth is tremendously consistent and eclectic and Portugal. The Man are one of the premier rock bands of the year. Check them out if you’re into real quality!
