Black Rebel Motorcycle Club

at den Atelier Doors: 7:00 pm

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

The Black Rebel Motorcycle Club meander along in a world seemingly ruled by dirty rock ‘n’ roll riffs and snatches of psychedelia. BRMC’s music is as addictive as the drugs they may or may not be on, with expert builds, very solid musicianship and a consistent mood throughout. They suddenly come to revive the flame of noisy rock in the great tradition of The Jesus & Mary Chain, Velvet Underground or Joy Division. BRMC’s sharp-edged guitars perpetuate the tradition of savage rock. After five albums and a decade-long road test across the highways of the world, BRMC found their way. Eleven years after bassist Robert Levon Been and guitarist Peter Hayes started playing gigs around their hometown of San Francisco, the duo has now started over, with a new vision, a new drummer, Leah Shapiro, and the gift of a future unknown. Check out the smashingly brilliant new album, Beat The Devil’s Tattoo! Be prepared for a real treat: The last show BRMC played at den Atelier in November 2005 counts indeed as one of the 10 best shows EVER in our club… BRMC are quite simply phenomenal on stage. Take our word for it!
