The infectious pop group Wir sind Helden is immensely popular in Germany. Anglo-saxon sounding indie-pop with a German touch cannot get any more charming than this. The magic formula lies in the voice of singer Judith Holofernes. Her lyrics full of socially critical word plays perfectly suit the danceable and incredibly catchy pop music of this foursome. The first two albums Die Reklamation and Von hier an blind quickly sold in excess of 500,000 copies in their homeland and Wir Sind Helden are seen as the flag-bearers of a new generation of German pop bands. The band’s back on the road with a new album in 2010 and – after two sold-out shows at den Atelier in the past – they’re very keen on playing for their fans in Luxembourg once again.
