Turbonegro

at den Atelier Doors: 7:00 pm

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Turbonegro fulfills their calling as Europe’s reigning kings of death punk. Beginning in the late 1980s as a hardcore band, these boys of darkness slowly move into a Spinal Tap-like version of hard rock/punk, even though their music is retaining an absolute killer edge. Turbonegro has a sharp mind for theatrics and realizes that a few good gimmicks – coupled with ever-tighter, faster, louder rock ‘n’ roll – could make them one of the biggest, most over-the-top bands their native Scandinavia (and the whole world) has ever seen. Turbonegro parade themselves as a gay band (even though no one in the band is actually gay) and rip through stunningly thunderous songs as if Thor himself were pulling the strings. Their heart-stopping intensity and their keen sense of wit help craft the Turbonegro legend. Turbonegro’s live shows even top their music…
