The Horrors

at den Atelier Doors: 7:00 pm

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Cult London goth-garage rockers The Horrors rose to fame on the back of an extreme stage show and a raucous, catchy sound, mixing shoegaze with a goth-tinged kind of garage rock. With their album Primary Colours, the band have grown up from gimmicks and shown integrity as a band. NME later awarded the album first place in the 50 Best Albums of 2009. Their 2011 release, Skying, self-produced and recorded in The Horrors own self built studio in London’s Dalston, was mixed by Grammy Award winner Craig Silvey. It features ten brand new tracks, including the single Still Life. Skying follows 2009’s Mercury Prize nominated Primary Colours and their debut Strange House which was released in 2007. The Horrors – feat. singer Faris Badwan, bassist Tom Cowan, guitarist Joshua Hayward, drummer Joseph Spurgeon, and keyboardist Rhys Webb – have now announced their first Luxembourg show, at den Atelier.
