Steve Vai & Band

at den Atelier Doors: 7:00 pm

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

To some people, Steve Vai is actually known as a bee farmer, harvesting honey among five bee colonies in the backyard of his home… But to the entire world, Steve Vai is known as one of the best guitar players on this planet! Along with Joe Satriani, six-string wizard Steve Vai set the standard for rock guitar virtuosity in the ’80s. At the age of 18 he was attending the renowned Berklee School of Music in Boston. As a student there, Vai transcribed several of Frank Zappa’s most technically demanding compositions for guitar and sent copies to Zappa himself. Frank Zappa was so impressed with the young guitarist that upon meeting him, he invited Steve Vai to join his band. Vai was catapulted to super-stardom due to his instrumental talents, as he takes top honours in numerous guitar magazines until this day. All guitar aficionados, better make sure not to miss this show…!
