Who’d have thought we’d ever see this! Two of the ‘Big Four’ thrash metal legends (Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer & Anthrax) on one and the same night in Luxembourg. With the tastiest of what’s happening in the current generation of headbang bands as opener: Norway’s Kvelertak. Pretty much every band in the ‘heavier’ genre whose music employs a double bass-drum or who tunes their guitars in the direction of drop B, C or D has been inspired by what Dave Lombardo and Kerry King & Jeff Hanneman conjured out of their respective sticks and strings as Slayer. Together with screamer/bassist Tom Araya, at the same time as Anthrax, the four established thrash metal in America in ’81 and, right up to this day, these bands are still a part of the upper metal echelons.
