On top of that, in the original all-black line-up: Vernon Reid, Corey Glover, William Calhoun and Doug Wimbish. The guys that earned multiplatinum sales with their 1988 debut album, Vivid. The band melded Zepplinesque power, funk suppleness, pop melodicism and jazzy dissonance into a brave, breathtaking blend.
