Interpol

at Rockhal Doors: 7:00 pm

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

The impressive thing about New York City’s Interpol has always been the refinement of their sound, its remarkable sense of purpose. When the band debuted, a huge share of conversation revolved around the other acts they sounded like, such as… Joy Division…? But no matter how familiar any of the parts are, the band is welding them together into a whole that’s instantly recognizable and easy to grasp. The suits they wear are supposed to say something about style, but they also say something about professionalism: This band has a clear agenda, and they’re all business about it, every last detail is engineered to work. And it does work. Interpol is dark and tense and edgy, and skilled and experienced. A killer live band!
