Rock

Hanni El Khatib

at den Atelier Doors: 8:00 pm

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Discovered and produced by Dan Auerbach from The Black Keys, in terms of raw instinct and inspiration, Hanni El Khatib has become one of the most kick-ass composers around lately. On his ferocious masterpiece Head In The Dirt, the guy makes the entire history of rebel music something all his own. He’s got cut-to-the-bone rhythm ‘n’ blues. He’s got overcranked Stooges-style stompers. He’s got bottomless Black Sabbath riff-outs. His dub-a-delic garageland rockers call up the spirits of The Clash. And his track Low is just one André 3000-remix away from a club anthem! Now, after relentless touring, Hanni’s back with Moonlight and goes past “unpredictable” all the way to “unprecedented” The guy is positively insane. Check him out.
