Folk / Country

Francesco de Gregori

at den Atelier Doors: 7:00 pm

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Influenced by Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, Francesco De Gregori shot to fame as “Il Principe dei cantautori” with his milestone-releases Rimmel in 1975 and Bufalo Bill in 1976. De Gregori himself defined Bufalo Bill as his most accomplished record. It has been the following release, though, simply entitled De Gregori, featuring the memorable song Generale, that established this outstanding Italian artist far across the borders of his home country. Francesco De Gregori is an extraordinary singer-songwriter talent, pulling a crowd of 13,000 at the Arena di Verona. Obviously, his exclusive return show at den Atelier will be much more intimate and personal.
