Death Cab For Cutie

at den Atelier Doors: 7:00 pm

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Death Cab for Cutie’s rise from small-time solo project to Grammy-nominated rock band is one of indie rock’s greatest success stories. Launched in the bayside college town of Bellingham, Washington, the band was originally a mere side project for singer/guitarist Ben Gibbard, an engineering student at Western Washington University who split his time between school and music. Death Cab for Cutie’s has come a long way since then… The quartet have gradually become standard-bearers for a style of sweet indie rock emphasizing gentle melodies and vulnerable, emotionally candid lyrics. Check out the band’s latest album, Codes And Keys, and don’t hesitate fetching your show tickets… It is nothing short of a massive privilege to catch an undisputedly huge band – totally committed to quality in terms of sound and effort – in such an intimate setting as the A.
