ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

British art-rock-trip-popper Archive’s declaimed goal: “Producing the best albums of the next decade and conquer the world by storm.” The band moved a long way from Londinium, their trip hop debut album ten years ago… Now, orchestral arrangements meet heavy trip-hop beats and lashing guitar riffs. Awesome vocals, lyrics and strings make it a first class pop experience. With the current album, Noise, one thing is clear: that band has not fired its last. Amidst coffee cups, wine bottles, overflowing ashtrays and cigarette-smoke, the Archive nods gently to the sound of thundering basses and rumbling cellos. Noise KOs every backward pop rocker in the UK, the likes of Oasis, Stereophonics or Travis. For all the stir it caused, Air’s latest opus was a disappointment. Archive are Pink Floyd’s rightful heirs. Not mellow any longer. Biting, as of now. Not hippie but exquisite. And as said… Archive works somewhere between Pink Floyd, Massive Attack and Radiohead…
