ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Despite of the fact that Air cite their influences as the Beatles and Burt Bacharach they are, undoubtedly,one of the most exciting sounds to emerge from 90’s Electronica. Call it what you want – ambient/lounge/disco/pop/kitsch/moogweirdness, Air have succeeded in producing a sound that is both futuristic and retro, not quite fitting into any cosy niche… The French duo often evinced the same ’60s Continental charm as Dimitri from Paris – due to the influence of Serge Gainsbourg – they have little in common musically with acts such as Daft Punk, in the wave of French Electronica lapping at the shores of Britain and America.
