Rock, Singer-Songwriter

Francesco De Gregori

at den Atelier Doors: 8:00 pm

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Influenced by Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, Francesco De Gregori shot to fame as “Il Principe dei cantautori” with his 1976-album Bufalo Bill. De Gregori himself defined Bufalo Bill as his most accomplished record. It has been the following release, though, simply entitled De Gregori, featuring the memorable song Generale, that established this outstanding Italian singer-songwriter far across the borders of his home country. De Gregori, who has always declared his inclination to left-wing ideas and ideals, is playing a very exclusive Luxembourg show at the A.

On stage with Francesco De Gregori:

Alessandro Arianti – keys / Paolo Giovenchi & Lucio Bardi – guitars / Alessandro Valle – mandolin & pedal steel / Guido Guglieminetti – bass / Stefano Parenti – drums / Elena Cirillo – vocals & violin / Stefano Ribeca – sax / Giancarlo Romani – trumpet / Giorgio Tebaldi – trombone
