Benjamin Clementine

at den Atelier Doors: 7:00 pm

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Following recent tours of the UK and US with David Byrne, the artist Benjamin Clementine has announced a special, one-off series of acoustic headline dates in Europe. Taking place across May & June 2019, the run of shows offers the chance to experience Clementine’s arresting and impassioned songwriting and live performance stripped back to an intimate acoustic setting. Entitled ‘An Evening With Benjamin Clementine & His Parisian String Quintet’, the unique live experience will see Clementine take to the stage backed by five French string players, including Barbara Le LiePvre on cello. Throughout the night Clementine will perform songs taken from his two critically-acclaimed albums: the Mercury Prize-winning debut At Least For Now, released in 2015, and his 2017 sophomore album I Tell A Fly, which continued to build on the widespread success of his debut and led to NPR declaring Clementine ‘a musical George Orwell for our time.’
