About

The RAF 2010 will again be held in this fabulous green setting near the town of Roeser, in natural surroundings, south of Luxembourg-City.

Join us once more for the party, the music and the fun outside!

This website will grow with the flow of events. It will be regularly updated with all relevant information. As soon as news drops in, we'll put it online.

How to get to the RAF site

Last check-up before you leave:
Don’t forget your ticket! And it’s always good to carry some cash as well.

The RAf is sold out so there will be NO tickets on sale at the festival entrance.

The most clever way to join the RAF is to use public transport (rail & bus): Your RAF ticket is officially valid for ALL public transportation everywhere in Luxembourg, that’s for busses as well as trains... Special Trains will get you to the Bettembourg rail station free of charge, and a free non-stop bus shuttle will transport you directly to the RAF from there! The best plan would be: Get to one of the railway stations (list hereafter) and you’ll be carried right to the very doors of the RAF and back home after the fest for FREE.

Afoot or by bicycle or motorcycle : The siteis located between the villages of Crauthem and Hellange. Car traffic is prohibited on the road between those two villages. A bicycle/motorcycle parking at the entrance to the RAF site is free of charge.

You need to drop off somebody and pick 'em up after the show? Use the meeting point at the Bettembourg rail station! Easy to access by car, and there is a free non-stop bus shuttle, from 10:30am until the very end of the show.!

By car: Drive to the ‘Park & Ride Bouillon’ car park, south of Luxembourg City (49.59933 N, 6.10567 E). A non-stop bus shuttle will transport you directly to the RAF! The bus transfer will be charged EUR 3 per person. There is NO public parking space in or outside the villages of Roeser, Crauthem and Hellange.

ALL TRANPORTATIONS, SUCH AS TRAINS OR SHUTTLES OPERATE UNTIL THE VERY VERY END OF THE RAF. SO IS THE CAR PARK. THERE’S NO REASON WHATSOEVER TO HURRY OR TO MISS A BAND BY LEAVING EARLY.

Once you’ve made it to the RAF, grab your free copy of the RAF-Mini-Essentiel for the timetables of both stages, the map of the festival grounds and loads of info on the bands! See you there!

Food & Drinks

We have yet again expanded our food and drink offer for this year’s edition!

On the menu, we will have the inevitable classics: Luxembourgs Grill-Sausage, Mettwurst, Hamburger and French Fries, and we have added chicken- or veggie-wok with thai sauce, a mug of pasta with tomato sauce (veggie) or bolognese sauce (meaty) and a mug of fresh fruits.

And for you drinking bunch of people - besides the usual stuff – we’re making bubbly champagne available again! More or less loads of it!

Cash System & Environmental Protection

We will have 6 cash points on site where you can convert your money into RAF-units. Use your RAF-unit sto pay for food & drinks.

In order to avoid unnecessary waste, we have a free water program: Bring back 10 empty bottles, cups or cardboard drink carriers and get a free VIVA water. Stay hydrated, you schizos, and keep RAF clean!

For the same reason it is not allowed to bring your own drinks and/or food to the RAF. Flyerposting is not allowed either.

World Cup

Watch the 2 matches that day - live from South Africa - in a huge football tent at RAF.

Some Rules

Animals, alcohol, any food, cans, glass and plastic bottles or containers, umbrellas, sticks, sharp objects such as knives or scissors, weapons and any other items that might be considered dangerous by the open air organizers are not allowed at the festival site at any time. Visitors will be body-searched beforehand. Those who will not submit to this procedure, will be refused entry, losing the right of restitution of the entrance fee. Professional film, video and photo cameras, as well as any sound recording devices are not allowed inside the festival ground. Small digital photo cameras as well as mobile phones are permitted, of course. Beer is available at the site. All other alcoholic drinks are not allowed. Crowdsurfing is prohibited for safety reasons. Trespassers will be removed from the festival. The event is being organized on privately-owned grounds. Open fires are prohibited. Rock-A-Field is an open air event for young and older music lovers. Unfortunately, we have no facilities for the very young. The organizers advise you not to bring small children to the event. Should you decide to bring very young children after all, please bear in mind that all festivalgoers need a valid ticket, whatever age they are. For those of you who haven't been at last year's RAF: Do NOT bring umbrellas with you, they are not allowed. Use K-Ways, etc. Please also think of adequate footwear, i.e. no flip-flops.

WC Facilities

There are toilets and urinals at the site. They are being cleaned at regular intervals. Toilet paper is available. Urinating outside of toilets or urinals is strictly forbidden... for real!

Tickets

Tickets are on sale at the regular ticket shops and online www.atelier.lu/raf at a price of EUR 54 + presale tax, EUR 3 trash recycling contribution included. Leaving the premises gives no right to readmissions.

Ticket Refund

Purchased tickets will be refunded ONLY if the Rock-A-Field Open Air is cancelled. Billing or running order changes are not a valid reason for a refund. Refund will be made at the salespoints where the tickets have initially been purchased.
