Salif Keita, the “Golden Voice of Africa”, is Mali’s most famous solo artist. From his early days in Malian supergroups such as The Rail Band or Les Ambassadeurs, this guy is hitting the “jeli” (griot) groove absolutely right from the start. Driving rhythms, thrilling vocals and great guitar work… Keita is a legend in his own right! Everything about this West African singer/songwriter is striking. An albino with a gritty voice in a fabulous all-star band that transcends classification. Salif Keita spins dance tracks that reveal a dedication to tradition and passion. A unique treat.
