Introduction
If Band Of Skulls didn’t already exist, Jack White might have to create it. The British trio from Southampton draws from the same well as The White Stripes. Band Of Skulls, in spite of the name, treats blues-rock with a bit less seriousness and reverence than The Kills. Their tracks have a momentum and songs such as Death By Diamonds And Pearls, I Know What I Am or Patterns on their debut Baby Darling Doll Face Honey are as choppily irresistible as prime Pixies with a dash of T. Rex. Band Of Skulls are glam and dangerous and raw and a bit kinky… New album, Sweet Sour, out anytime soon now…
